Dr Edmond Wright (1927-2016)
Edmond Wright was both a philosopher and a poet. This was somewhat unusual for someone starting their career in philosophy in the 20th century, when a philosopher then was encouraged to combine being a logician with his study, and logic was still de rigueur in the syllabus.
Having over twenty-five years refined a philosophy of perception which, espousing qualia, relies on the correction of one social partner by another in an common act of faith, he was later engaged on pursuing the wider consequences of the epistemology it implied, in fields such as social theory, narrative theory, humour, patriotism and religion.
The Complete Horwich Hennets, a complete book of poems by Edmond Wright on his home town of Horwich.
The Hardy Hennets, a set of poems on some poems of Thomas Hardy.
Narrative, Perception, Language, and Faith (Basingstoke: Palgrave Macmillan. 2005), published October 2005.
Avatar-Philosophy (and -Religion) or FAITHEISM (Plymoth: Imprint Academic, 2011)
'The Case for Qualia', Cambridge MA: MIT Press, 2008, Edited by Edmond Wright
